The Status for GSM 4 Million Project carried out by GSM
Stations
Asia Mega Link Company Limited has been carrying out the 1st year
expansion of 4 Million out of 30 Million Mobile Phone Expansion Project
under Myanma Post & Telecommunication with 202 staffs since October,
2011.
1st Stage of 1st Year Project
The total stations of 75 which are 55 GSM Stations, 15 WCDMA Stations
and 5 Stations replacing the Old Version BTS were successfully opened at
the end of March, 2012.
Moreover, two Core Network stations which are mainly important part
of the whole upper Myanmar were opened in Mandalay and Meikhtilar.
By connecting the above-mentioned 75 stations with the two New Core
Networks, the operation was fruitfully opened and run.
2nd Stage of 1st Year Project
The total stations of 54 which are 34 GSM Stations and 20 WCDMA & GU
Stations (Line Power – 184,000) were wonderfully opened under FE
Transmission in July, 2012.
3rd Stage of 1st Year Project
Accomplishing 44 GSM Stations and 20 GU Stations & 21 Expansion
Stations in November, 2012 is under process in July, 2012. By connecting
the said 75 stations with the two New Core Networks, the operation is
going to be opened under FE Transmission.
The Fruits of the Project
People can purchase the mobile phones with cheap price if such 1st
Year Project is accomplished, and the communication role will be
developed in high speed. As long as the communication role is developed,
it will give a great hand for developing the State besides social,
economic and health care affairs will become developed.
